Monitoring Gender in the Constitutional Review and Election Processes in 2005
Gender & Governance survey

The co-existence of an expanded democratic space with the continued marginality of women in decision making in Kenya is a paradox that merits systematic investigation.

Accordingly, AWC commissioned the gender and governance study partly to probe the strength of perceptual and contextual issues still encumbering the effective participation of women in the governance domain.

The study was also to elicit public reception and responses to a number of strategic choices and options being pursued or being considered in the quest to achieve gender equity.
